Yes, it sounds to me like your water definitely broke! After that first big gush or two, the baby's head will seal off the leaking if it's down there far enough which is why you don't notice it after that initial gush. You'll be having your baby in no time. Don't worry about strep b - they will give you antibiotics through an IV during labor and baby will be fine. Good luck!
