Where can I find "locals only" places to eat in Waikiki - or surrounding ares?

My family and I are going to Hawaii in the end of July for a family wedding. We're on a budget so I am looking for places that we can eat/hang out/play at that won't cost us "tourist money". Anyone know of any places?
