Has anyone else had an Ingelman-Sundberg Procedure(bladder denervation)for IC(interstitial cystitis) pain?

I am really curious IC patients and medical people. I have suffered over a decade with chronic, unrelenting, debilitating bladder pain, among other things. I was given the option of continous pain meds (was up to Demerol around the clock for three months) or bladder REMOVAL! In desperation, in tears, I called around and found a surgeon (and professor) who simply severed some of the nerves, without incontinece or anything. I attempted to locate the doctor who developed this procedure, found his son, also a professor, in Sweden. He forwarded the e-mail to his 98 YEAR OLD FATHER, who developed the procedure in the 50's! I wantto speak to anyone who has heard of this or had it done!
