I desperately want a baby, how do I approach my partner about it?

I'm wondering why you guys aren't talking marriage. It's great to know your love accomodates not worrying about pregnancy, but make a commitment, honor it, then bring on the kids. Like I'm in a position to give advice, I'm not even in a relationship, but kids sound great.
